Did you know God loves you so much that even before He created the world He provided Jesus to be your Savior? The Bible tells us that all of life as we know it was created at some point in time long, long ago by our Creator God. The Bible also tells us that one day time as we know it will end. Every person who ever lived will stand before God on a day called “Judgment Day.” Not only is that day going to be the end of time as we know it, but it will also be the beginning of a timeless existence that will continue for eternity, either with God on a newly restored earth called Heaven, or separated from Him in a place called Hell where God’s presence is completely missing.
In 1 Peter 1:18-21 we read, “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver and gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from our forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.” Isn’t it amazing that God knew we would need to be saved from our sin even before He created the world? He still loved us enough to create us with free will and the power to decide whether to trust Him and follow Him, or not. Jesus Christ was a part of God’s plan before creation. He was chosen or destined before the world was made to become the sin payment for us. Jesus was the Lamb, sacrificed for our redemption—our salvation. He came to reveal God’s will and through Him we can have a relationship with God that would not otherwise be possible. In light of this impressive love and foresight on the part of God, what will you choose to do with Jesus? Back in the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve chose to rebel against God, and it changed everything for worse: the health of nature, the way people treat one another, and it stripped away our relationship with God. Some people think that Hell is not real because a loving God would never send anyone there, however, God loves people so much that if they choose to reject Him, He will allow their choice to stand and they can live in a place forever without Him. That is why one of the actions we must choose in regard to Jesus is to share Him with others. Jesus matters, and we must influence our world for Him wherever we are, wherever we go, and whatever we do. Blessings to you! Tyler |
